Keens Steakhouse has served New York since 1885, when Albert Keen opened his chophouse in the Herald Square Theatre District. On West 36th Street in Midtown Manhattan, the restaurant continues to honor its long connection to the actors, writers, and other regulars who have gathered here over the decades. Its collection of churchwarden pipes reflects that history, with former Pipe Club members including Theodore Roosevelt, Babe Ruth, and Albert Einstein.
